Stitch by Stitch: Marash Embroidery Workshop Threads Tradition with Creativity

This Sunday, creativity was in full swing as participants gathered for the Marash Embroidery Workshop — a lively, hands-on celebration of ancient Armenian Marash embroidery.

Led by the talented Merry Matevosyan, the three-day workshop invited guests to dive headfirst into a world of vibrant threads, intricate patterns, and centuries-old stitching techniques.

Laughter, learning, and lots of colorful thread filled the room as participants practiced traditional Marash stitches and began crafting their own journey of embroidery. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and wonderfully creative — proof that heritage crafts are best experienced together.

While Sunday brought plenty of inspiration, attendees are encouraged to join all three days to fully immerse themselves in the art and master the beautiful details of Marash embroidery.

The workshop is a pay-at-the-door event, with a $20 per person, per day entry fee payable upon arrival.

With guidance, creativity, and a touch of tradition, the Marash Embroidery Workshop continues to prove that when needle meets thread, magic happens.
