SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP
Social Support Group: Text
Our Social Support Group is designed for people aged 65 and over, to participate in community life and feel socially included through structured, group-based activities that develop, maintain and support independent living and social interaction.
Our Social Support Group is available at both our Chatswood and Wentworthville branches. Members are served morning and afternoon tea as well as lunch and are able to participate in various activities including physical exercise and information sessions on healthy living. A small client contribution fee is applicable for these services.
We conduct monthly group excursions for our Social Support Group members, to encourage participants to socialise with others who share their interests. Keep an eye on our Events page to know when group excursions will take place or Contact one of our staff members.
We have a community transport service available, which collects members from their houses and takes them to either the Chatswood or Wentworthville centre and back. A small transport contribution fee is applicable for this optional service.
